How to build a masculine physique.

We all want to look masculine and it starts at the physique. But with that, a problem arises: What is the most masculine physique? Are you actually training for it?

We all want to look masculine and it starts at the physique. But with that, a problem arises:

What is the most masculine physique?

How can we achieve it?

Obviously, all men need to have a good physique. Everyone needs to have a good physique. With a chubby, fat, skinny or skinny fat physique, no one will respect you. You won't be strong. You won't be masculine.

But it could well be that you were building the "wrong" physique for the last years. But before we can look at which physique is the most masculine, we have to look at what defines a masculine physique.

The criteria

Masculinity embodies strength and the ability to perform. The physique isn't even that much about looks (this plays a part too), but more about functionality. Can you pick up heavy things? Can you run fast? Are you mobile and agile? All of these are important to a functional physique.

When we look at the looks' side of things, a masculine physique must be BIG. And I mean REALLY big. Your frame should be intimidating. The mere space you take up will get you the respect of men and women. The big physique helps with strength. It also signals to a woman that you're able to protect and physically shield her.

So a masculine physique needs to tick off a few boxes:

  • Strength

  • Testosterone-friendly

  • Attractive

  • Big

  • Intimidating

  • Agile

  • Fast

  • Mobile

  • Allows you to perform at YOUR realm

  • Makes you feel confident

With the criteria for the optimal physique out of the way, we can look at different physiques and how well they fit.

The masculine physique

First we're gonna put all the fatties and skinny bitches aside, we know that this isn't the optimal physique.

Now where left with a few options:

  • The bodybuilder: Big and very lean

  • The powerlifter: Huge

  • The athlete: Lean and fairly skinny

  • The calisthenics-guy: Very lean and medium big

  • The bear: Super huge but also fat

Being super lean is not good for testosterone levels, so we can exclude the bodybuilder and the calisthenics guy. Having to much body fat on the other hand, is also not good so we can exclude the bear.

That leaves us with two physiques: The powerlifter and the athlete.

The powerlifter

This has it's benefits. First and foremost obviously the strength that comes with being super big and at a mid body fat percentage. It's also very intimidating and also probably attractive since it gives a sense of safety to the woman. The downsides are that it's less athletic and less functional. Sure, you can pick up heavy stuff, punch the fuck out of someones face and bicep curl entire humans, but that's about it. Another benefit of this is that the food required to become a door will massively improve your testosterone levels (if you eat the right things).

The athlete

This is good for, you guessed it, athleticism. You're fast, agile and mobile. You're reasonably strong, but most bigger guys will mogg you. You're not really intimidating but for some woman, this lean physique will be more attractive. Another BIG downside is that when you're in clothes, you don't even look like you touched a single weight in your life.

The "answer"

Obviously, there is no real answer. The ideal physique depends on your taste and the things you want to be able to do. But here's my suggestion for an answer:

Becoming a modified oldschool powerlifter. Oldschool powerlifters were huge, without the steroids. But they probably weren't that agile. That's why I'd modify it. Here's how I'd achieve this physique.

Training

For training, I'd go down a holistic route. The focus being on building muscle and strength. But I'd do exercises with large range of motions to build mobility and would also add some pure mobility exercises. I would go sprinting regularly and do a bit of cardio here and there.

The focus should also be on yoke-training. The yoke consists of the traps, shoulders, neck, upper chest and upper back. By yoke training, you build a masculine shelf. In these areas, androgen receptors are most prevalent, suggesting that this physique is actually the most masculine.

Food

This is big. When trying to build a large, masculine frame we want to be eating real good. Fatty meats, lots of eggs, spamming raw milk and potatoes, fruit and veggies. Big on protein and fats. So basically just a healthy bulking diet.

I don't think everyone should go after this physique. But I want to build as much mass as possible when I'm young. I can always cut down later. But now I want to not only build lots of muscle, but also grow a massive bone structure. Bones need to be fueled and trained. Right now, I want to get a s big as possible to be massive, even with clothes on.

When you're trying to improve your physique, I'd advise to go for either an athletic or a huge physique.

Thank you for reading.
